Timothy Taylor wil in dit boek geen catalogus van mogelijkheden weergeven, maar richt zich op een praktisch repertoire voor zwart. Dit is het eerste repertoireboek over deze opening.

Taylor schreef eerder de populaire boeken Bird's Opening en The Budapest Gambit.
